Good morning!!  My sweet friend Laura and I are going to start a blog this week.  Look for it in your mailboxes and on Facebook.  In the meantime, no new horrific dating stories other than I don't seem to really be meeting anyone new.  I have been talking to a guy on the phone for 3 weeks, but he is literally too busy to squeeze in even a coffee date.  Any tips on how to meet people.  I am not really into the bar scene and the dating websites are pretty subjective.

Botany Bob is really just a farmer

So, My dear friend Laura saved me from a disastrous coffee date with Botany Bob.  That sparked a firestorm of comments on the woes of internet dating and dating in general.  I am coming at it from the perspective of having been married for 21 years and being really rusty.  Where does a sassy single woman of a certain age meet a fun, artist and God fearing man.  NOT of POF (plenty of fish)  and sadly not on Match.com ( rife with scammers).  So, I told them I would start writing on my blog about the adventures that I have been having.  Frankly I think there must be a secret code on the sites that I can't see saying, if you are fat old and balding please email/message/flirt with this woman.  And I am not talking just a few of these men, but many, many of them.  And forget Christian Mingle.  That was the worst!!  I know that I am not 40 with long blonde hair or super sexy, but jeepers, I think I am a nice person with a big heart with plenty to offer the right man.  So, here goes nothing.  Also.  My mom ad I have started naming the "dates" so far I have Kabul Kevin, Botany Bob, Concrete Chris and Bogus Bill.

Well, I tried the blog thing and as I thought this just isn't my thing.  i don't really like to write so I think I will just post things to Audreys Daughter in the future.

Whew, I have been busy!!

seems like forever since I posted anything new.  Been super busy with a bootie order for Two12 Pottery and working at Treadle.  Not doing pumpkins anymore, no time!!  Hoping to get some jumpers and skirts done today.  will try to get some new photos up.

Last night I made a cute pair of overalls for display (and for sale) to hang up at Treadle.  Also worked on a big order for Two12 Pottery.  Here are a couple of photos of new stuff.

I made 8 pairs of Booties over the last couple of days.  I really enjoy working on my things.  I won't be doing pumpkins for Monya much longer, just too busy with my sewing and Treadle.

Saturday at Treadle

I am off to spend the day at my favorite job.  I am truly blessed by the job I have.  I work with an amazingly talented and diverse group of women and love them all.  God has truly blessed me.  These ladies and my friends and family at church have gotten me through an awful time in my life both the death of my brother 4 years ago and then my separation and subsequent divorce from my husband of 20 years.  So, if you want to, come down for a visit, some fiber therapy and to feel good about yourself.

Today I am going to finish up a pair or overalls that I started this weekend, trying to get some garments done for the Textile Center.  Speaking of which, I went to an author lunch yesterday to hear Shelley Stokes.  She is the owner of Cedar Canyon Textiles and does some beautiful things with paintstiks.  I can't wait to dig mine out and play a little.

Today I started a new facebook page with my Audrey's Daughter stuff.  Many of you know that used to be the name for my business, but since I stepped back for a while I let it go with my divorce.  Now, I am excited to say I am working on getting my business growing again.  Look for new updates and photos.

Today I am mailing off a little package of booties to MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids, MN.  They have a little gift shop and agreed to try things out.
